1 1/2 lbs. meat (1/2 ground beef, 1/2 sausage) 1 qt. tomato juice 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves 1/2 tsp. sweet basil leaves 24 oz. carton cottage cheese 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese 1 egg 1 tbsp. parsley flakes Approx. 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded Lasagne noodles Brown meat; drain. Add next five ingredients. Set aside. Stir together cheeses, egg and parsley. Layer in a 9x13 pan: 1/3 meat sauce, noodles, 1/2 cottage cheese mixture, 1/3 meat sauce, noodles, 1/2 cottage cheese mixture, and 1/3 meat sauce. Bake about 350 degrees now, or refrigerate for later baking. Freezes well. |
