Sift together:

3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa

Add:

2 tbsp. vinegar
3/4 c. salad oil (any kind)
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. water

Mix thoroughly. Bake in 9 x 13 inch baking pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost with your favorite frosting.
