1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. confectioners' sugar (10X)
2 tbsp. milk
For Chocolate Icing: Add 3/4 cup cocoa powder and an additional 1-2 tablespoons milk to vanilla recipe.
Cream butter (butter) and shortening with electric mixer. Add vanilla and milk. Add sugar 1 cup at a time and beat until light and fluffy. Can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks, let soften before using.
