HOT MULLED WINE
 

1 c. sugar
2 c. water
Strip peel 1 lemon
20 cloves
2 sticks of cinnamon, broken up
1/2 gal. red wine
3/4 c. brandy

Boil sugar, water, lemon peel and spices for 10 minutes. Strain. Add wine and brandy. Heat gently. Serve hot.
