HOT MULLED WINE
 

3 - 4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon or 6 cinnamon stocks
1 tsp. ground whole cloves
3 med. oranges, sliced thin
1 med. lemon, sliced thin
1 gal. (16 c.) dry red wine

About 30 minutes before serving: In 8 quart sauce pot over high heat, heat first 5 ingredients and 2 cups of boiling water. Boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium; pour in wine and heat to piping hot but not boiling. Serve and enjoy. Makes about 18 cups or 36 (1/2 cup) servings.
