GERMAN APFEL (APPLE) PUDDING
 

Lightly butter Pyrex baking dish. Peel apples and cut into slices, fill dish 1/2 full. Add raisins, nuts, sugar and cinnamon. In a saucepan, put the following ingredients:

1/4 lb. butter
4 good sized tbsp. flour
1 lg. glass milk (10-12 oz.)
4 tbsp. sugar
3-4 egg yolks (save whites)

Keep stirring on low heat until mixture comes like a ball.

Beat egg whites and fold into above mixture and pour over apples and bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
