2/3 c. fine cracker crumbs
1 c. milk
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/2 to 3/4 tsp. ground sage
Soak cracker crumbs in milk; add meat, eggs, onion and seasonings; mix well. Shape in loaf in shallow baking pan, or lightly pack into 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Garnish with green pepper and onion rings. Makes 8 servings.
