2 med. onions 1 lb. flank or top round steak 6 tbsp. oil 1 green pepper in strips 1 1/2 c. bean sprouts 1/2 c. water chestnuts, sliced MARINADE: 1/4 c. soy sauce 1 tbsp. sherry (water) 2 tsp. cornstarch Peel and slice onions. Separate into rings. Slice beef diagonally; marinade 15 minutes (recipe above). Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in the skillet. Add beef and stir fry quickly. Remove from skillet and heat rest of oil. Add onion, green pepper, sprouts and chestnuts. Cook 2 minutes. Add beef and remaining soy. Stir fry 1 to 2 minutes. Serve on minute rice. |
