SPICY BAKED HAM

1 picnic ham
2 oz. whole pickling spices
1 lb. brown sugar
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
Whole cloves

Place ham in large cooking pot and cover with water. Add spices and 1/2 sugar. Cook on stove top until cooking fork will pierce and come out easily. Take from pot, remove skin, and score. Stick whole cloves in scored side. Put rest of sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and add pickling juice until it makes a thick mixture. Place ham in a foil-lined baking dish; spread 1/2 mixture over ham and add 1 cup water. Cover ham with foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Open foil and baste; spread remaining mixture over ham, close foil, and bake 2 hours at 275 degrees. Baste every 30 minutes and add water if necessary. Serves 8 to 10 minutes.
