5 to 6 lbs. country style ribs (pork) 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 tbsp. corn oil 1 c. ketchup 3/4 c. water 1/3 c. vinegar 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed Boil ribs in water while preparing the barbecue sauce. Cook onion in oil in saucepan over medium heat until tender; stir often adding remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes until flavors are blended. Sauce will thicken slightly. Cook ribs in oven on 350 degrees for 1 hour in sauce. Use covered dish for more tender ribs. |
