In a large pot, bring 1 quart of water to a boil. Add ribs and garlic and parboil for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Add more water, if needed. 1 (18 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce
Combine in large flat glass baking dish. Add ribs to sauce, cover and place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours or overnight. Over hot coals, brown ribs basting with sauce.
