2 lbs. ground chuck
10 oz. can tomato soup
6 slices American cheese
1/2 lg. onion
4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. Heinz 57 sauce
3/4 c. milk
3 eggs
3 tbsp. Mortons Club crackers
1/2 c. ketchup
Optional: 1 c. mushrooms & 3/4 c. green pepper
In large mixing bowl, break up ground chuck; add tomato soup, Worcestershire sauce, Heinz 57 sauce, milk, seasoning. Cut up cheese slices into small pieces, dice onion, peppers and mushrooms; add eggs, cheese, onions, peppers and mushrooms to mixture. Mix together well all ingredients.
With a rolling pin, roll out Cork Flakes and Club crackers and add to mixture 1/2 at a time, this is to give meatloaf consistency in order to form loaf (More or less mixture of Corn Flakes and crackers may be used to make consistency.) Grease with Crisco or spray with Pam a baking pan large enough to contain meat loaf. Put mixture in pan and form loaf. Cover top of meat loaf with a thin layer of ketchup. Put loaf in oven and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour or until done. Serves a family from 4-6 people a good meat dish with enough leftover for sandwiches later.
