2 tbsp. salad oil 1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 c. chili sauce 1/4 c. water 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. ground cloves 1 (4 lb.) beef brisket In a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook onion until tender. Add chili sauce and next 6 ingredients. Bring to boiling, remove pan from heat. Place beef brisket in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Pour sauce over brisket. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours or until tender. Slice thin. |
