QUICHE KAREN
 

1 (10 inch) deep pie crust
1 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
1 (8 oz.) pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced
Chopped onion
Choice of: bacon (fried & crumbled) OR ham (sm. can) OR crab (1 can)
Carrot - shredded
1 pkg. frozen spinach - chopped & cooked & drained VERY WELL
7 eggs
1 c. whipping cream
Salt & pepper
Nutmeg

Prepare all ingredients except eggs and whipping cream. Layer them into pie crust starting with mushrooms so they don't go to top and dry out. End the cycle with cheese and nutmeg. Repeat the cycle until ingredients are gone and pie pan is full. Blend the eggs and the whipping cream in the blender or food processor for a couple of minutes then pour over the quiche. Bake at 350 degrees a good hour until golden brown and not watery. After 45 minutes or cooking time insert knife in several places to vent steam. Can place foil around edge so the crust doesn't brown too soon.
