FLANK STEAK AND MARINADE

1/2 c. soy sauce (Kikkoman is good)
1/4 c. Open Pit barbecue sauce
1/4 c. maple syrup
2 tbsp. oil
1 clove garlic, chopped up; optional

Take flank steak out night before. Put flank in pan with a little marinade on bottom and rest on top. Put back in refrigerator.

About 2 hours before you're ready to eat, take out of refrigerator and turn over in pan. Leave out until ready to broil. Broil flank and cut in strips on diagonal against grain.
