NEW ENGLAND BOILED DINNER
 

3 to 4 lb. corned beef brisket
8 sm. onions
8 med. carrots
4 potatoes, pared & halved
2 turnips, cubed
1 med. head cabbage, wedged
Caraway seed

Place brisket in large kettle, cover with water. Cover tightly. Simmer 3 1/2 hours or until tender. Skim off fat. Add onions, carrots, potatoes and turnips. Sprinkle caraway seeds. Cover, simmer 20 minutes. Remove meat to heated platter. Add cabbage, simmer uncovered 10 to 15 minutes until vegetables are tender.
