1 lg. sirloin steak (best if it's fresh, not frozen)
2 c. red wine
2 tbsp. oregano
1 tbsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt or salt substitute
2 tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. garlic
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 c. halved and sauteed mushrooms
1/2 c. sliced and sauteed onion
Cut steak into 4 individual servings. Marinate for 8 hours in wine, oregano, pepper, salt, parsley, and garlic. Discard marinade. Brown steak in a skillet. Add Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms, and onions. Simmer for 1/2 hour.
Remove steak, mushrooms and onions into a large casserole with lid. Make pan gravy with remaining juices. Pour gravy over steak, mushrooms and onions. Serve with egg noodles mixed with butter and parsley. Serves 4.
