1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in strips 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 green peppers, cut in strips 1 (28 oz.) lg. can tomatoes 1 beef bouillon cube 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. cold water 2 tbsp. soy sauce Garlic powder, to taste Brown steak and onions in oil. Season with garlic powder. Add peppers, tomatoes and bouillon to meat. Simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat is fork tender. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Add to meat, bringing to a boil to thicken sauce. Stir in soy sauce. Serve over rice. Makes 6 servings. |
