4 c. pears 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. lemon juice
Cut pears into small pieces. Add sugar and stir. Cover and set aside overnight. Add cinnamon and a dash of lemon juice. Cook until clear and thick. Pour into hot jars and seal. Good for toast or as an ice cream topping.

My husband and I have tried several peach perserve recipes the last few years. Some were too sweet taking the peach flavor away from the perserves. Some were not sweet enough.
