12 red peppers 12 green peppers 3 lg. onions 1 qt. vinegar 2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. salt Split peppers and remove seeds. Chop coarsely. Pour boiling water over them and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and pour more boiling water over them, let stand 10 minutes. Drain and add the chopped onions. Boil the vinegar, sugar, and salt for 5 minutes. Then add all the ingredients, cook the mixture 10 minutes after it has come to a boil. Pack in hot jars and seal. |
