FILLING FOR GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE
 

1 1/2 c. cream or milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 stick butter
4 egg yolks
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Mix sugar, flour and add beaten yolks, butter and cream. Cook until thickens, stirring almost constantly. Add coconut, pecans and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla.
