ITALIAN CALZONES
 

2 lbs. ground beef
3 c. spaghetti sauce
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. pepper and salt
2 lbs. bread dough (softened)
Grated Mozzarella cheese (if desired)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While cooking ground beef, sauce, etc., on stove, add spices and simmer 30 minutes.

Cut bread dough into 8 to 10 round circles. Roll out into thin circles about pancake size.

Grease a cookie sheet and now begin to take each rolled dough and fill with meat mixture. Wrap dough completely and tightly at corners until calzone is closed shut. If necessary pinch ends to close.

Bake in oven for 10-20 minutes or until golden brown.

You may also sprinkle cheese inside the Calzone before filling with meat mixture, if desired.
