ITALIAN ANISE BISCUIT
 

2 sticks butter, soft
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. flour
1 shot glass anisette
1 (3 oz.) bottle anise flavor extract
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well. Add flour, one cup at a time and beat well. Add anisette and anise flavor extract. Last add baking powder. Place on greased and floured cookie sheet. Spread evenly. Bake 350 degrees for 25 minutes. When take out of the oven, slice into bars. Broil on each side to brown slightly.
