3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
Speck of salt
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. milk (if required)
Used canned peaches, pears and mandarins or fresh bananas, kiwi, berries, peach or ???? strawberries
1 clear gelatin envelope
Cake mix: Melt the butter, place in a bowl and whip; add vanilla, sugar, eggs and salt (a little at a time) and keep mixing.
Place flour and baking powder in a sieve and sprinkle over the bowl as you keep mixing all the ingredients.
If the dough mix is too stiff, use the 2 tablespoons of milk to soften. Place in a 10 inch diameter tort baking pan (Ekco Baker's Secret for Tiara desserts) and bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Take out and let it cool.
Topping: Place desired fruits on top; prepare clear gelatin according to manufacturer's instructions; spoon gelatin mix over fruits. Let stand until gelatin is firm. Top with cream.
