GERMAN STEW
 

2 lb. round or sirloin steak
1/2 c. flour
3 tbsp. oil
1 lg. onion
1 lg. clove garlic
1/4 c. parsley
3 tbsp. brown sugar
8 oz. beef broth
8 oz. beer
1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Can add carrots & potatoes

Cut meat in bite-size pieces, season with flour, salt and pepper. Brown well. Remove meat to baking dish. Add sliced onion to meat. In skillet brown mashed garlic, parsley, brown sugar, beef broth and beer.

Stir, mixing ingredients while browning. Pour over meat. Bake 3 hours at 250 degrees. Remove from oven, heat oven to 425 degrees. Add vinegar and return to oven 15 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.
