CONEY ISLAND HOT DOG SAUCE
 

1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
2 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 tsp. hot pepper
1 tbsp. paprika
1 pinch sage
1 pinch cinnamon
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 sm. can tomato paste
4 c. water

Brown chuck and onion with oil. Add all the rest of ingredients and simmer 3-4 hours, stir often.
