ix together:

2 c. table salt
2/3 c. water

ix together:

1 c. cornstarch
1/2 c. cold water

Heat salt and water in pan until well heated, about 3 or 4 minutes. Remove from heat and add cornstarch mixture. Stir quickly. Mixture should be like stiff dough. If it is not, put on range and heat about one minute. When cool, wrap in plastic or foil. 1/2 of this recipe is enough for a large salt map. (One on a sheet of paper. 9 x 12.)
