1/2 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1 tbsp. instant coffee powder 1/2 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 3/4 c. raisins 1/2 c. broken walnuts Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, beat well. Stir in 2 tablespoons water. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop from teaspoons 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. |
