NATILLA (Spanish)
 

12 eggs
2 cans evaporated milk
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
6 c. reg. milk
12 spoonfuls of cornstarch
3 star anise
4 c. white sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Separate yolks from whites of the eggs, use only yolks. Mix yolks with 5 cups regular milk and 3 star anise. Put mixture in pot on low heat, stir for 15 minutes. Add cans of evaporated and condensed milk and salt to pot. Take out star anise. Let cook for 15 minutes stirring all the time. 1 cup of cold regular milk -add 12 spoons of cornstarch; mix until dissolved. Add mixture slowly to pot and stir until thickened. Put in small dessert containers or cups and let cool.

CARAMEL:

In pan put in 4 cups of sugar and let dissolve on low heat. Stir. Put 1 spoonful of caramel on top of each dessert. Put in refrigerator. Eat cold.
