NATILLA (SPANISH CUSTARD)
 

4 eggs
4 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. cornstarch
Rind of 1 lemon
1 cinnamon stick

Beat eggs, milk, sugar and cornstarch well until frothy. Add lemon rind and cinnamon stick. Cook over medium heat until slightly thickened. Arrange lady fingers around deep glass bowl.

Remove lemon rind and cinnamon stick and pour custard over lady fingers. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Cool.
