1-2 pkgs. lady fingers or pound cake
1 lg. box raspberry jello (may use diet jello)
Lg. bag frozen raspberries, thawed
Raspberry jam
2 tbsp. drinking sherry (may omit)
1 pkg. Birds English custard or 1 sm. pkg. vanilla pudding powder
1 carton fresh whipping cream or may use Cool Whip
Slivered almonds
In large glass bowl: arrange lady fingers or sliced pound cake on bottom and 1/2 sides of bowl. Spread with raspberry jam; drizzle sherry over top of this.
Spread thawed raspberries over top; reserve juice to mix with jello. Prepare jello using juice instead of water to make up recipe. Pour over top. Refrigerate.
Next day: Make custard as directed on package or vanilla pudding; cool. Spread over jello. Whip and spread cream or Cool Whip on top. Sprinkle with slivered almonds.
