CARAMEL CORN
 

4 qts. popped corn (1 c. unpopped), pop in air popper
Pecans & peanuts, if desired

CARAMEL MIXTURE:

3 sticks butter (butter acceptable but butter is better)
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white Karo
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda

Cook butter, sugar and Karo to hard boil stage. Add salt and soda. Remove from heat and stir. Pour mixture over corn and stir until all is covered. Put on pammed cookie sheets, bake 45 minutes at 250 degrees. Remove from oven, stir and pour out on foil to cool. Break apart and store when cooled in covered container.

HINT: I Pam my pan before I pour the caramel on the popcorn. I also Pam the pan it's baked on or you may use foil, also I Pam the foil I pour the finished product on. This keeps it from sticking.
