1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. sugar 2 egg whites, lightly beaten 1 lb. whole walnuts or pecans Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Mix cinnamon and sugar; add to beaten egg whites and mix well. Add walnuts and toss until well coated. Spread on a greased cookie sheet. Bake until top of walnuts turn white. Check every 10 minutes, it will take from 15 to 30 minutes. Turn with a spatula and bake until other side turns white. Remove from oven and let cool. Separate nuts. Place in air tight jar and let stand 24 hours before serving. |
