Hard candies (lollipops, life savors etc.)
1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar & 1 c. honey (or 2 c. sugar)
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix butter, shortening, sugar, honey, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt. Chill dough overnight.

On wax paper roll out dough and cut shapes with cookie cutter then cut out areas for "windows". Place cookies on well greased cookie sheet. Fill openings with crushed hard candies. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
