6 tbsp. butter, softened 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. flour 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. flaked coconut 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Cream together butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir in 1 cup flour. Pat into bottom of 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Meanwhile, beat eggs until blended. Add 2 tablespoons flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in coconut and nuts. Spread over top of baked layer. Bake for 20 minutes longer or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool. Cut into diamonds. Makes 1 1/2 dozen. |
