NAPOLEAN BROWNIES
 

1st Stage: 2 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 4 oz. (4 sqs.) unsweetened chocolate 1 c. sifted flour 1 c. chopped nuts (optional) 9 x 13 inch pan, greased and floured

Oven, 350 degrees. Melt 1/2 cup butter with chocolate, being careful not to burn it. Let cool. Cream 1/2 cup butter with sugar. Add eggs and beat until light. Add vanilla. Beat in cooled chocolate. Add flour, salt, and nuts. Mix well. Bake, then cool 1/2 hour. Put in refrigerator for 2 hours.

2nd Stage - White Layer: 1 tsp. vanilla 6 tbsp. soft butter 2 tbsp. heavy whipping cream

Mix well. Spread evenly over brownies. Refrigerate 1/2 hour.

3rd Stage - Chocolate Layer: 3 tbsp. butter

Melt butter and chocolate. Let cool, then spread evenly over white layer. Refrigerate 1/2 hour. Cut into 1 inch square.
