ICED LEMON BUTTER BARS
 

1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar, divided
2 eggs
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine 1 1/3 cups flour, butter and 1/4 cup sugar in mixing bowl, stir until blended. Press dough into greased 9 inch pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Combine eggs, rest of sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, lemon juice and peel in mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly. Pour over partially baked crust. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until golden brown around edges and filling is set. Cool for 10 minutes. Sift powdered sugar over top. Makes 32 bars.
