Write or type up fortunes 1/2 inch wide by 2 inches long, be creative!

Mix in bowl: 3 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 egg white 2 1/2 tbsp. water 1/2 tsp. vanilla (clear, if possible)

Preheat frying pan or griddle to about 300 degrees or medium-high. Drop mixture by teaspoons onto pan, fry until lightly browned. Turn over with spatula and cook until lightly browned. Remove and quickly place fortune cookie and fold cookie in half one way and then in half the other way. Cookies harden as they cool.
