1 c. shortening 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground allspice 1 1/2 c. fig preserves (well drained & chopped) 1/2 c. chopped pecans Sift together flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and allspice. Set aside. Combine shortening and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and blend until smooth. Add fig preserves. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. |
