1 c. Crisco 2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda 1/8 tsp. cinnamon Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Stir in milk and vanilla. Sift in dry ingredients and add to first mixture. Place 1 teaspoon of batter on ungreased cookie sheet. Place 1/2 teaspoon of apricot jelly on batter. Then 1 teaspoon of batter on top of apricot jelly. Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
