1 3/4 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Roll into small balls, then in sugar. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Just before cookies are done, press chocolate star candy in the center.
