1/2 c. shortening 1 c. Vermont maple syrup 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. sweet milk 2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. flour, sifted 1 1/2 c. oatmeal 1/2 c. nut meats 1/2 c. seedless raisins Beat until fluffy the shortening and maple syrup; add egg. Sift together flour, salt, baking powder. Add to first mixture alternately with milk. Stir well. Add raisins and nuts. Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes. |
