BABY RUTH COOKIES
 

1 1/3 c. unsifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 chopped Baby Ruth bar

Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Thoroughly beat in egg and vanilla extract, then blend in sifted dry ingredients. Mix in chopped Baby Ruth.

Drop by half teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from baking sheets and place on wire racks to cool.
