1 lb. ground beef 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix Follow the mix directions; if desired, use only half the water called for and use red wine for other half. Corn tortilla chips 1 can refried beans Avocado, peeled & cut into sm. cubes Fresh tomatoes, chopped fine Scallions to taste Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese, shredded on top Sour cream to pour on top Chili peppers (optional) Prepared ground beef/taco mixture. (This can be made up ahead of time and refrigerated.) Using an oven-proof platter, arrange ground beef mixture with beans on top, shredded cheese and chips arranged around outside of platter. Put in oven and warm up making sure ground beef mixture in heated through. You can keep in oven warm until just before serving. When ready to serve, take platter out of oven and put dressings on top: Avocado, scallions and tomatoes. Just before serving, put sour cream on top of Nacho Platter. Past President & Honorary Member |
