1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1 garlic clove, minced 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 2 tbsp. ketchup 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans Liquid hot pepper seasoning to taste 2 oz. sharp natural cheddar cheese, grated (about 1/2 c.) Slice stuffed olives, optional Ritz crackers Brown beef with next 3 ingredients; drain excess fat. Add next 4 ingredients. Mash in beans. Garnish with cheese and, if desired, sliced olives. Serve warm with Ritz crackers. Makes about 3 1/2 cups spread. |
