CREAM CHEESE SUGAR COOKIES
 

1/2 c. butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (softened)
2 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract

In a large bowl combine butter and cream cheese. Add 1/2 of the flour and all the sugar, 1 egg, baking powder, vanilla and almond extract. Beat until combined. Beat in remaining flour.

Divide dough in half. Cover and chill for 1-2 hours or until firm. Roll out one portion of chilled dough onto a floured surface. Roll to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use any cookie cutters. (Can stir together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of oil and brush over cookies and sprinkle with sugar - optional.) Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown on edges. Cool cookies on wire racks.
