ROASTED PECANS
 

2 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. butter
Salt
1 lb. shelled pecan halves

Melt oil and butter on large cookie sheet on broiler tray (cannot be sideless as the butter-oil mixture will run out). Sprinkle with salt. Spread pecans over pan in single thickness and stir to coat them with butter-oil mixture. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Add salt, if needed. Yields: 8 servings.
