1 onion, chopped 1 lb. lean ground beef 1 c. frozen broccoli 1 c. frozen carrots 1 sm. can water chestnuts 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 box Jiffy cornbread batter prepared to pkg. directions 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt Dash chili powder 1 clove garlic, chopped Simmer onion and garlic in vegetable oil until tender. Stir in ground beef and brown. Add tomato sauce, vegetables, salt, pepper and chili powder. Bring to boil and pour into casserole dish. Spread cornbread batter over top. Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes. |
