1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. white Karo 1 heaping tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. soda 1 1/2 c. peanuts, raw or roasted Cook in large skillet until some of the sugar, water and Karo forms a hard ball in cold water. Add peanuts; cook until rich golden brown, stirring all the time. Add butter, salt, and soda all at once. Mix well and pour immediately into buttered pan. |
