2 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. white Karo 2 egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. nuts Mix sugar and water. Boil until syrup spins a thread. Add slowly half of mixture to well beaten egg whites, beating constantly. Return the other half to stove. Cook to hard crack stage. Then add this and nuts to egg white mixture and beat until it begins to lose its gloss. Drop by teaspoons on wax paper. |
